Welcome to the Water Quality Engineering group in the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering, and Environmental Studies Program at Binghamton University!

 

Due to the nature of our research, we conduct interdisciplinary research with scientists and engineers across fields, such as Systems Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Plant ecology,​ and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Specific areas of interests include:

• Energy systems and environmental impacts;

• Risk assessment of environmental contaminants;

• Remediation methods for emerging contaminants such as Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS);

• Water-energy nexus;

• Urban waste system and sustainability.
